Fools do not recognize foolishness - Capt. Obvious

MEDIA INDEPENDENCE
Part Two
So, with the current administration, well on its way, to becoming known as one of the most corrupt, it only stands to reason, that Herman Cain’s foreign policy gaffe should be the lead story. Meanwhile, the ‘most intelligent President we ever had’ is leading all ‘57’ states he visited down the tubes.  When is this intelligence going to be revealed to the rest of us? When he wants 10yr old asthma patients on breathalyzers, when he is not accusing doctors of lopping off legs and yanking tonsils unnecessarily, when he is not calling us lazy and ignorant, or calling our police officers stupid, when he is not lambasting the ‘rich’ from his $50,000 p/wk Martha’s Vineyard vacation rental, when he is not endorsing the OWS group for protesting the corrupt intermingling of banking and government, of which, his administration are the proliferators and beneficiary, after he finishes another overseas tour on our nickel apologizing for our existence, or it must be when he finally finds the right word to get another trillion dollars for redistribution; “jobs & recovery”  don’t work any more! (A side note to Mr. Geithner and Mr. Bernanke: I will not buy your apology book 5 yrs, from now!) if you wait that long
There is not evidence, other than fawning support, that rise to level of an argument leading to a conclusion of Mr. Obama’s superior intelligence.(he exceeded his level of competence when he finished campaigning, oh wait a minute, he hasn’t stopped campaigning!)  I can provide, at least, two factors that show someone on his team is smart: his academic records are sealed and Joe Biden is vice president. Every time Biden speaks Obama seems brilliant. History will judge accurately, that at very low point in American resolve; a war weary, apathetic, doctrinally confused electorate was misled and diverted from all the warnings signs of impending financial crisis by a lazy, unintelligent media industry seeking celebrity and ignoring corruption. The result: a political ‘nobody’ both in accomplishment and character rose virtually unopposed to the highest office in the land.  If his election did not embarrass you; his presidency should.
Apparently, 21st century Americans, according to the media industry, need a “Presidential Game Show” to resolve these important issues. Get the ad slicks ready were going to call it “The Debates”. We have already decided that most of the contestants don’t have a chance so we’ll use them for visual props and to eliminate any time for serious discussion. It is always important to have a front runner because everyone rises and falls by how many times they hit the front runner.  Boy! Is that entertaining or what? In the event of no clear front runner, the intrigue lies in the rise from 2nd tier to 1st tier. I liked Wipe Out when it was the Japanese version on Spike TV.  I think some surgically enhanced swim suit blondes walking in circles would help. You know, like the red-neck soap opera WWF or E or WHATEVER! Hell let Simon Cowell be the moderator and bring back the gong, for crying out loud!
ENOUGH! Coming soon Part Three

Moving from watching to reading

I DECLARE MY INDEPENDENCE FROM THE MEDIA
Part one

The American Television Media & Entertainment Industry is entirely culpable for the sad state of affairs, in which, our country is languishing.  Until our citizens rise to acquire independent knowledge; separate from the dribble that the media passes as expertise, our decline is inevitable. In 2008, Barrack Obama was their  darling, John McCain was their choice to be the opposition; therefore, welcome to the America they helped to choose. Here’s a scoop they will not share with you: They fear Mitt Romney.
America is a center-right country and has been for, at least, the last 50 years. A prime example of this fact is the term: Reagan Democrat. Even Obama’s base is less than 40% of the democrat party at large. JFK would not be allowed in the democrat party as it is constituted today. The problem for democrats is there is not a moderate voice to be heard. No one addresses their concern for safety nets; heart-felt sympathies for the needy or their sense of a fair chance for blue collar workers, without couching it in a complete socialist agenda. These are all legitimate issues, varying in complexity, they not only share a cultural and family history; they are considered core values. The perceived threat, created by elite democrat demagogy; that a conservative republican, will not address these issues and will laugh all the way to the bank while trampling them, is not lightly dismissed.  Obama’s team played on these fears to such an extent, that he could offend these democrats directly and still get their vote. They did not realize at the time, that voting for him would cost their jobs, homes and create the same fears they voted for him to abate. He used the belief that he shared their core values, to establish his socialist agenda. Now, they too, are left hoping for a change. Everyone seems to be asking the same question: Is there something wrong with me, because the America the media claims is not the one that I am seeing? Can I have another Kim K. or Demi Moore story please?
Let me share a little inside info. There are many in the democrat party who are hoping Obama is defeated. The triumvirate of Barry, Harry & Nancy has brought our country to the brink of financial ruin in their name. The fault is so blatantly obvious that even the media support is waning (because the media is a business). Three years ago we had staged fainting at Obama rallies. Now they have to round people up and bring them to even have a crowd. Obama has to quip about when to applaud. If you want to see people roll their eyes; tell them the President is addressing the nation. The only thing more prevalent than the president talking about himself is the financial corruption that can no longer be hidden: $600 million to Solyandra-bankrupt, $529million to Al Gore’s Finnish partner’s company- for a car less efficient than a Cadillac SUV, $433 million No Bid contract to Siga Technologies-unnecessary experimental drug for the company controlled by Ronald Perelman. Of course, Perelman bought his access to Obama by bringing former SEIU head, Andy Stern to his board of directors. As head of SEIU, Stern was the White House’s most frequent visitor during Obama’s first year: the primary mover for adding 100’s of thousands new Federal employees and a significant influence as to why the taxpayer’s money is being to redistributed to every public union in the country and not stimulating anything. According to reports, within months of his being a board member, Siga received $3 million from the government which they parlayed into a rising stock price, attracting new investors. Perhaps a payback to Stern for contributing $60 million from SEIU to Obama and democrat coffers before departing, leaving the union with a mountain of debt.

Waxing elephants (oops! Eloquent)

With apologies to John ‘The Duke’ Wayne

It has been brought to my attention that my blog has the resonance of just another angry republican. OMG! Just call me a racist and get it over with. Not that it is necessary; but I am going to share expressions that are every bit as meaningful as my political ramblings.  Some have asked for some personal revelation. These I tend to protect because I am a trucker for ‘crying out loud’. We do not have ‘sissy’ sides (I mean sensitive).  But in the hope of creating a renaissance type of a philandering here I go, despite the complete objection of Capt. Obvious:

A heart in hand
Thank you my friend, for your hands and eyes;
they expressed your love when words may have seemed to be lies.

The comforting grasp and the listening tear,
lifting my soul and vanquishing my fear.

Through your strength I found mine,
by believing what you see, I’ll be fine.

Enclosed in the room of my confusion,
you opened the door without intrusion.

When I saw only harshness you showed me the softness.

When I was stifling with despair;
you were the breath of fresh air.

There’s not a better bridge throughout the land, than the one accomplished by holding your hand.

I treasure the longevity of our friendship and pray we never part,

for through your hands and eyes; you have shown me your heart.

With Love & Admiration for Mothers

Restricted by maleness to merely observe from near or far, I am continuously amazed and intrigued by the fullness of a mother’s love.

I know of the tears that went unseen, the pleas made on bended knees. The worries that made it hard to breathe. I have watched the heart that swells with joy and the hope that reaches beyond the seen.

I witnessed both the cutting of the cord and the bonding of the hearts. I saw the indifference of a child’s running nose; equally wiping itself on the thigh of her sweat pants or the shoulder of her finest dress.

Her tireless devotion cannot adequately be described, though some have feebly tried; a man may work from sun to sun, but a mother’s work is never done. Maternal love is its own power source.

Not having a claim to being the first, I’ll gladly take my place with those that stand in awe. May your heart be filled with peace; knowing that a mother’s silent tears water the seeds of love that blossom in the heart of the child.

Here are some examples of others in that long line:

“A mother understands what a child does not say.” Jewish Proverb

“An ounce of mother is worth a pound of clergy.” Spanish Proverb

“No matter how old a mother is, she watches her middle-aged children for signs of improvement.” Florida Scott-Maxwell

“The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother.” Theodore Hesburgh

“Her children arise and call her blessed.” Proverbs 31:28

Happy Mother’s Day and God Bless You

Love-Don
